Rm 13 Readers designed a Paper Slide show based on a novel they read. Then they collaborated with a friend who slid the characters, settings and props, while the reader read the script! Pretty cool, don't you think. Here are a few examples. Thank you Rm 13 Readers for being so smart!
Keep up to date with the amazing Rm 13 superstar students! We are smart, creative, hard-working kids who are happy to share our learning with you!

Our visit to the Oregon Historical Society and the Oregon Trail!
We had a great downtown experience despite the pouring down rain!!!! We learned about pioneers, Native Americans and how people lived over 150 years ago. We concluded the day with lunch in Pioneer Courthouse Square! Thank you parents for chaperoning and helping us on our field trip! We couldn't have done it without you!

ROOM 13 MATH WIZARDS and the MATH OLYMPICS!
Room 13 learns and works in the computer lab twice a week to challenge themselves at a MATH OLYMPICS style activity! Your child can practice at home by going to our MATH WIZARD link and practice their LEVEL 2 facts of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
They must get 100% to pass here at school. So practice to reach that level at home! It's not as easy as you think! ;)

Finding our way on the Oregon Trail!
Did you know that there was a 50 mile gap in the Rocky Mountains that allowed the emigrants in their covered wagons to go through the Rockies rather than having to ascend over them? It was called South Pass and made their journey just a little bit easier. Ask your child what they are learning about the Oregon Trail!
