Fabulous Book Summaries and their Paper Slides!

Rm 13 Readers designed a Paper Slide show based on a novel they read. Then they collaborated with a friend who slid the characters, settings and props, while the reader read the script! Pretty cool, don't you think. Here are a few examples. Thank you Rm 13 Readers for being so smart!

Our visit to the Oregon Historical Society and the Oregon Trail!

We had a great downtown experience despite the pouring down rain!!!! We learned about pioneers, Native Americans and how people lived over 150 years ago. We concluded the day with lunch in Pioneer Courthouse Square! Thank you parents for chaperoning and helping us on our field trip! We couldn't have done it without you!

Fourth Grade staying fit and healthy during our FIELD DAY!

Field Day was a lot of fun for the students. Here are a few examples of the activities they did; from balancing on a plank to balancing with a plunger, to shooting a bean bag with an old bike tire, they did it all! Well done Rm 13 athletes!

My Philosophy

It is my role as your child's teacher to provide them with an excellent education. I work to do this by creating a learning environment that is challenging, stimulating and rigorous. I provide your child with a rich curriculum that supports best practices in elementary education.

I believe that all children have amazing capacities for learning and when given the right environment coupled with learning activities that are appropriate for their level and developmental needs, great learning happens.

Parents and teachers are a child's best advocates for success. Therefore I will ensure that I communicate openly to you regarding your child's learning.

Your child is a unique and special human being and I will do all that I can to ensure that they grow, succeed and have a fantastic learning year in Room 13.
